NICE MN
The Northside Investment Cooperative Enterprise (NICE) MN is a community-owned investment cooperative in North Minneapolis. NICE got its start informally on Feb 27th 2017 when a group of 20 Northsiders got together at New Rules for an evening of dreaming what a Northside Investment Cooperative might look like. The evening ended with a passing of the hat for the Cooperative filing fee, the beginning of the journey of pooling our resources to invest in our community. NICE formally became a registered Cooperative in January 2019 and began pursuing its first investment property in August 2020. Our mission is to purchase properties to create and maintain affordable housing and commercial space for Northside residents prioritizing Black, Indigineous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Our vision is that “Properties on the Northside are owned by the Northside.”
